Centralia Police say a 47-year-old Centralia woman was injured Monday afternoon when she crashed into a parked car on North Poplar near the Rhodes Street intersection.
42-year-old Ruby Young of Putter Drive in Centralia was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital by Lifestar Ambulance. A passenger in her car, 77-year-old Vicky Harris of Hickory Ridge in Centralia escaped injury along with two people who were in the parked car. They are identified as 20-year-old Fred Secrest of Fayette Street in Centralia and 23-year-old Lyndsey Hoffman of Old Salem Rod in Centralia.
Young was ticketed for improper lane usage.
The Centralia Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
The crash occurred at 2:55 Monday afternoon.
