Two people were injured in a crash in the driveway of a home in the 700 block of North Lincoln in Centralia.
Centralia Police say the crash occurred when a car driven by 70-year-old Joe Van Warren of North Sycamore in Centralia hit the gas pedal instead of the brake when entering the driveway. His car struck a vehicle parked in front of it but still occupied by 53-year-old Lorraine Forest of the North Lincoln Street address. The impact pushed the Forest vehicle into another parked vehicle in front of it, causing additional minor damage.
Both Van Warren and Forest were transported by Lifestar Ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The Centralia City Fire Department was also called to the scene.
The crash occurred at 12:14 Wednesday afternoon.
