The Salem Wildcats are the 3-seed in the 2a sectional complex coming up as they will open up the Greenville Regional on Thursday afternoon at 4:30 against the host Comets. The tournament’s first game is a play in game with TTown hosting Vandalia on Monday with that winner getting Flora on Wednesday. The championship will be Saturday at 11am. The winner will advance to the Breese Central Sectional to face the winner of the Roxana Regional with the top seeds there being Father McGivney and Mater Dei.
In Class 1a, Christ Our Rock will be the host of regionals that open Monday with games at respective higher seeds. Odin/Patoka/Sandoval will host Lebanon Monday while Carlyle hosts Okawville. The winner of the first game will get top-seed Christ Our Rock on Wednesday in one semifinal with the 2nd game winner getting New Athens on Thursday. The Championship will be played on Saturday afternoon at 1pm.
At the South Central Regional, Monday’s play-in game will be Dieterich hosting Cisne. That winner will get North Clay in the first semifinal on Wednesday at 4:30 followed by the 7pm second semi between South Central and Red Hill. That championship will be Saturday morning at 11.
The Salem Lady Cats are the 2-seed in their sub-sectional. They will open up play in the Greenville Regional on Tuesday at 4:30 against the winner of Monday’s game with Litchfield hosting Hillsboro. Gillespie awaits Monday’s winner of Greenville at Staunton. The championship game would be Friday at 4:30 with the winner advancing to the Freeburg Sectional to play the winner of the Althoff Regional which features top-seed Freeburg and Wesclin.
In 1a softball the South Central Regional will open Monday with the play in game of Webber hosting Cisne. That winner gets top seed South Central in Tuesday’s semifinal. Grayville and Wayne City play in the other semi with that title game on Friday at 4pm.
Christ Our Rock will host Lebanon in the Marissa Regional play in game on Monday. The winner get’s Valmeyer on Tuesday with Marissa and Odin/Patoka/Sandoval playing in the other semifinal on Wednesday at 4:30. That title game is Saturday at 1pm.
