Centralia City Firemen were able to confine a Friday night fire at the Queen City Motel at 322 East Kerr to one room.
Firemen say no one was in the room when the fire began. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. All the residents were evacuated from their rooms during the firefighting efforts. They were later allowed to return to their rooms.
All available Centralia City Firefighters were called to the scene along with the Centralia Fire Protection District. Sandoval stood by at the Centralia City Fire Station in the event of another fire.
The fire alarm came in at 9:45 Friday night. They were on the scene for about two hours.
