The Salem Lady Wildcats had a strong showing at the Cahokia Conference girls track meet placing 3rd scoring 130 points finishing behind conference champs Freeburg, 166 points and Breese Central 138 points. Placing first for the Lady Cats and earning All-Conference honors was Mollie Walker in the shot put, Aila Laird in the 800 meter and Finley Puricelli winning the high jump. The 4X100 team of Puricelli, Kensey Jarrett, Gracy Alli and Avery Robinson placed second in a time of 52.75. Maci Thorsen placed 2nd in the 3200 and the 1600 meter races. The girls compete next Thursday in the sectional.
