Two people have been charged in Jefferson County Court after the sheriff’s department broke up a burglary in progress Sunday morning in the 9000 block of North Triton Lane in Mt. Vernon.
23-year-old Baron Fleener of Valier was charged with residential burglary and 26-year-old Brittany Cassidy of Mt. Vernon with misdemeanor criminal trespass to property.
Both were allegedly found inside the home.
During the initial search and contact the sheriff’s department reports evidence of criminal activity was identified and collected.
