Kaskaskia College sophomore Courtney Lumpkins has signed to continue her basketball career at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia.
The Webster Groves, Missouri product averaged over 16 points per game for coach Jay Jenkins and the Blue Angels this past winter. She also added over 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.5 steals per game. The 5’6” guard was a key factor for the Blue Angels as they finished 17-14 on the year in a turnaround year for the program.
According to Blue Angels head coach Jay Jenkins, “Courtney is the glue kid. She held the team together and was consistent throughout the season. The perfect example of student-athlete. 4.0GPA and always in the gym outside of practice. Shorter Univ. is getting a true leader. Courtney is the perfect person to lead their program!”
