The Salem Wildcats will try to snap their 3-game losing skid today when they host Columbia. The Eagles are rolling this year at 14-0 and are ranked #1 in Class 2a in the state of Illinois.
Dodson Helps SC Continue To Roll With Win Over TTown
The top ranked South Central Cougars improved to 16-1 after yesterday’s 3-2 home win over Teutopolis. Aidan Dodson was great on the mound allowing 2 runs on just 3 hits, the big one was an Ethan Waldhoff 2-run homer to tie the game in the 4th. Dodson struck out 11 and only walked 1. Anthony Buonaura came in with 2 outs in the 7th and with 2 he was able to get a strikeout to pick up the save. Zane Montes and Brody Markley had RBI for the Cougars, Chase Thompson had 2 hits and scored, Dodson 2 hits and 2 runs including a double with singles from Andrew Magnus and Ethan Watwood as well.
CORLHS Wins Again
Christ Our Rock knocked off Webber 6-1. Lendon Isaiah doubled as part of his 2-hit day and drove in 2 runs. Brayden Albert drove in a run along with Parker Boehne and Drew Lueking. Christian Nollman had a 2-hit day as did Colton Oelze. Albert and Lueking combined on the mound in the win striking out 11 to just 1 walk.
