The Salem Wildcats dropped both games at home to visiting Mascoutah on Saturday.
Salem was outhit 14-4 in the opening game falling 8-1. Jalen Inlow drove in a Salem run, Isaak Williams had a hit and run with singles from Aden Susmena and Gavin Zimmermann. Josh Powless also had a hit. Noah Nix was the starting pitcher going 4.1 allowing 4 runs, 3 earned with 7 strikeouts. Colton Shelton and Aden Susmena also worked in the loss.
Salem then dropped the 2nd game 16-0 in four innings as the Cats could not muster a hit and the defense committed 4 errors.
Also Monday in prep baseball, the SC Cougars are back in action today with a home game against TTown.
