Keep Salem Beautiful has big plans for this year’s Great America Clean Up that are being held this morning. 12 organizations have registered and 100 have signed up to help and they hope to add you and your family to the participants.
Those wishing to help should gather at the Bryan Memorial Park Stage by nine this morning. The event will start with a welcome and Mayor Nic Farley reading a proclamation declaring Salem as an Arbor Day participant. Volunteers will then be assigned to areas in need of cleanup. Clean-up will continue until eleven when everyone is invited to return to the concession stand in the Salem Aquatic Center for a hot dog lunch sponsored by the Crouse Funeral Home.
