The Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School boys and girls Track and Field team both competed in their 3rd meet of the week tonight at The Belleville Althoff Relays and it was a good one for the Stallions.
The Girls Distance Medley Relay (1200-400-800-1600) team of Rylee Brammeier, Madi Nolte, Lillian Wedekemper, and Sarah McCowen placed 2nd to start the night setting the school record in the first ever girls DMR ran in school history (14:44.5). McCowen ran the 1600 portion of the relay in 5:41.
The Boys DMR team of Zerek Koch , Isaiah Lyons, Yillian Lu and Elijah Gregory finished 3rd and broke the school record of 12:16.0 from 2021 in a time of 12:00.7. Elijah Gregory ran the 1600 meter portion of the DMR and would come back later in the meet to break his own 1600 meter run record he set on Tuesday at Greenville(4:46.3) in the open 1600 meter run, running it in 4:45.1 and finishing 2nd by just 1 second. His teammate Zerek Koch would also PR in the 1600 meter run in 5:18.7.
Other placers for the Boys included: Yilin Lu 4th in the 400 in :56.0. Alijah Morris was 6th in the long jump (17″1′). The Sprint Medley Relay (100-100-200-400) team of Morris, Lu, Liagel Lyons and Isaiah Lyons would finish 5th (1:52.2). John Jansen and Remington Burleyson would PR in the Shot Put and Jayden Cushman PR’d in the Discus.
For the Lady Stallions Sarah McKowen won the 800 meter run in 2:30.6 and was 2nd in the open 1600 meter run in 5:49 a seasons best for her. Rylee Brammeier was 4th in the 1600 meter run and ran a PR in 6:10.1. Chloe Tate was 3rd in the Discus, while teammate Madi Nolte was 6th.
