At only 24, Torin Wright has taken over the Salem Community High School Cheer program and he couldn’t be more excited. Starting as an assistant coach 5 years ago, Wright said he never was thinking that in just a short amount of time he would be the leader of the squad, but after coach SarahBeth Williams stepped down after 15-years leading the program, Wright was hired by the School Board this week to take the top spot. In terms of his vision for the future, he hopes to continue the hard work the team has put in and also include some more competitive aspects down the road.
