The Salem Lady Cats beat Fairfield on the road 10-2. Makenna Smith struck out 7 in the win. Breanna Thurman led the way with 2 triples and 4 RBI, Maya Susmena and Lauren Burge each drove in 2. Every Lady Cat got on base. Salem returns to softball play in Cahokia action at home today against Roxana.
OPS back at it today in Ramsey. The Lady Eagles fell at Okawville 13-3 yesterday as 8 errors doomed them. Rheagan Rollinson had 2 hits. Trista Moore, Gwen Belcher, Lauren Robb, Macey Spicer, Amiah Wallace and Carmen Wilderman had a hit each. OPS is 7-4 on the year.
The SC Lady Cougars fell on the road at Flora 13-3. Kaitlyn Swift singled twice and Taegan Webster homered and drove in 3. SC is 10-4 on the year and will travel to Casey-Westfield on Friday.
Also yesterday, Nashville beat Chester 8-4.
Mater Dei is 11-0 with their 8-6 win over Belleville East. Avery Trame hit a 3 run homer.
