Salem Public Works Director Annette Sola says the cleanup of debris and downed trees from the Friday night tornado is winding up.
She reports a walk through is being completed picking up smaller items remaining in the storm zone on Thursday. After that, the city’s cleanup effort will be over.
However, Sola says any resident who still needs help with the cleanup can call Salem City Hall at (618) 548-2222 extension 26.
Sola says another 30 dump truck loads of cut trees and metal were removed on Wednesday from the area hit by the tornado, bringing the total number of loads removed to 150.
