Bobcats Win Boys & Girls Home Track Meets, Set 74 PR’s On The Day

It was a good day for the Franklin Park track teams as the boys and girls won their home meets yesterday competing at SCHS Track with Iuka, New Horizon and Carlyle St Mary’s.  Salem set 74 total PRs on the day.

On the boys side, winning their events and meeting state standards were Trey Clark in the discus at 147-7, Avery Gullion in the High Jump at 5-6, Alex Spencer went 5:04 in the 1600m as well as the varsity 4×100 team of Kyler King, Madden Thompson, Marquis Ettress and Trey Clark went 47.94. Also the 4×400 team of Gullion, Gullion, Skyler Clark and Spencer who went in 3:59.

Also winning their events for the boys were Silas Lux in the shot put, Isaiah Findley and Nate Lowry tied in the pole vault, Alex Spencer won the hurdles, Payton Gullion won the 400m in 58.22, Liam  Shober won the 6th grade 100, Kyler King the 7th grade and Ettress the 8th grade.  Avery Gullion won the 8th grade 200m.  Also winning was the 4×400 team of Gullion, Gullion, Thompson and Clark as well as the 6th grade 4×100 of Shober, Owen Tennyson, Kellen Nix and Kemper Johnson as well as the 4×200 7th grade team of Zyan Petrea, Keaton Smyth, Troy Keele and Scout Puricelli.

The girls state standards were hit by Brylee Pennypacker going 91-5 in the discus, Caitlynne Bryan and Teagan Lobek in the pole vault going 7 foot and 6-6 respectively.

Also winning their events were Ella Robinson in the 1600, Kayleigh Jarrett won the hurdles, Maddy Dulaney the 7th grade 100 and the varsity 200, Quinn Wolfe the 400, Kendall Zimmermann 800m.  Also winning were the 4×100 relay team (Lilly Holsapple, Maci Susmena, Lobek, Charlotte Johnson), the varsity 4×100 of Jaxey Donoho, Lean Crompton, Addy Lever and Pennypacker, the 4×200 team of Allison Thurman, Jarrett, Kourtney Garrison and Dulaney.  Also the 4×400 team of Zimmermann, Lobek, Johnson and Wolfe.
