Vincennes wins first game at NJCAA Tournament

The #15 seed Vincennes University Trailblazers began their NJCAA record 37th trip to the D1 National Tournament with an opening round 70-57 win over #18 seed Trinity Valley.  VU was led by sophomore Caleb Johnson with 19 points.  They advance to get #2 seed College of Southern Idaho tonight at 6:30.

Also opening today is tournament top-seed John A Logan who will tip at 2pm Monroe College who beat South Georgia State 83-63 yesterday in their opener.  Also winning 1st round games it was Chipola over Cape Fear 96-66, Dodge City beat Meridian 83-63, Tallahassee 78-75 over Trinidad State and Butler beat Roane State 85-66.  The first round will finish today with Southeastern against Sneed State and Ranger against Seminole State.
