Wildcats JV Use 8-run Inning To Beat Johnston City

The Wildcats JV earned a win on the road at Johnston City yesterday 9-1.  The Cats scored 8 runs in the fifth to open up their lead.

At the plate, Rhett Detering was 3-4 with an RBI and a run.  Keaton Gullion walked, was hit by a pitch and added a 2-run single.

Salem also got RBI from Cooper Lobek, Deytin Parker, Braden Rector and Cody Beard.

Beard was also the winning pitcher tossing 4 no-hit innings striking out 8 and walking 4.  Lobek and Colton Shelton worked a combined 3 innings of relief.   Salem pitchers struck out 13 and allowed just 1 hit and 1 unearned run.
