The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats season came to an end in the championship of the Salem Regional falling to Highland 25-22, 25-19. The Lady Cats season ends at 19-6. They opened the night with a tight 3-set win over Wesclin winning 25-22, falling 21-25 before outlasting them 17-15 in the 3rd set. Highland opened the night with a tight 3-set win over Centralia 17-25, 28-26, 15-8.
Also in Class L at Flora, Mt Carmel won the regional over Olney 25-17, 25-21.
In Class M at Aviston, the hosts beat Shiloh 25-16, 25-13 to advance to the state tournament. At Breese, it was Nashville over the hosts 25-17, 27-25.
In Class S at Woodlawn, the hosts routed TSJ Nashville 25-8, 25-4 and will play in tonight’s title match against Irvington/North Wamac after their win over Grand Prairie 25-13, 25-9.
At Kell, it was the hosts beating Field 25-21, 25-23 and will play in Monday’s finals against Rome after their 25-12, 25-12 win over Raccoon.
At Altamont Lutheran, Trinity Stewardson remained undefeated as they won the regional beating Iuka 25-16, 25-7. Iuka’s season comes to an end at 19-3.
