The Mater Dei Lady Knights won the program’s 2nd overall Super Sectional title with their 35-26 win over Paris in the Salem 2a Supers at B.E. Gum last night. The other Super Sectional title came in 1991. Mater Dei will play Quincy Notre Dame at 4:15 Thursday at Redbird Arena in Normal.
In 1a, Junior Amiah Hargrove scored 36 in Christopher’s 50-45 win over Neoga at St Anthony. They will advance to play in Thursday’s state semifinal at 11:45 against St Thomas More while Okawville will play Galena at 10 a.m. after their win over Havana 58-45 at Brown County.
In 3a, Kloe Froebe led Lincoln with 40 points as they beat Highland 61-39. The Lady Railers will play Friday morning at 11:45 against Deerfield in the state semifinals.
In 4a, Jaliah Pelly led O’Fallon with 22 points and 9 rebounds, Shannon Dowell added 19 as the Lady Panthers beat Bolingbrook 65-48. They advance to Friday’s state semifinals against Arlington Heights Hersey at 2:30.
