The Centralia Orphans and Mount Vernon Rams each won their 3a regional finals last night. Centralia knocked off Carbondale at Mascoutah 56-39. Cruz Harlan had 14 in the win. The Orphans will host Sectionals next week and will open on Tuesday with the East St Louis Flyers who won the Jacksonville Regional over the hosts 76-42.
The other sectional game from Centralia will see Mount Vernon who knocked off Herrin 54-51 at Mount Vernon will play on Wednesday against Triad after the Knights won the Bethalto Regional over Jerseyville 42-25.
In other 3a games, Mahomet beat Lincoln at Champaign Central 35-33, it took overtime in Mattoon for MacArthur to beat Mt Zion 66-64.
