A business is now available in Salem to help families and others who have children with learning and disciplinary issues.

Scott Moore founded Moore Than Behavior.   He is a board-certified behavioral analyst.    Moore works with children with autism, ADHD, and developmental disabilities.

“These behavior plans are filled with goals.  And these goals and outcomes are going to help these children and families develop so they can succeed in the community.  And hopefully, when they are older they can get out there and be a productive member of society like everyone else.  We want to treat them so they can get there like everyone else in the community.  We work with families, schools, and children directly one on one.  We also work with other entities like daycares and things like that who are going to be watching the children and helping them to develop.”

Moore says they work to keep children from falling behind in the classroom and to try and break violent and other behavioral problems.

Moore’s wife, Brittany, who is a registered nurse, assists with the business.

More information is available on their website or on their Facebook page Moore Than Behavior.   The Facebook page also has a support group to allow families to share ideas.

Those with questions can also reach Moore at 618-315-4533.

The Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce welcomed the new business during a ribbon cutting last Friday.
