In 1a regional championships in girls basketball last night, Christopher beat Woodlawn at Bluford 35-27, Neoga won at home over CHBC 60-36.
On Tuesday at the Casey Sectional it will be Neoga and Hume Shiloh followed by St Anthony and Tuscola. At Christopher it’s Albion and Pope County followed by Goreville and Christopher, Okawville will play the hosts at Jacksonville Routt followed by Carlyle and Hardin Calhoun.
In 2a, Massac County won at home over Carterville 57-33 and Hillsboro beat the hosts at Pittsfield 56-39.
On Tuesday in DuQuoin, Mater Dei plays Massac County followed by Benton and Breese Central. At Pana it’s the hosts and TTown followed by Paris and Robinson.
In 3a, Lincoln won the Bloomington title over Champaign Central 74-37, Mt Zion’s Denver Anderson had 26 in the 48-44, Highland at home over Waterloo 52-49, Mahomet won their regional over Normal West 58-26, Mattoon at home over Effingham 56-54.
Tuesday at the Centralia Sectional it’s Highland and Mattoon followed by Mount Vernon and East St Louis. At Rochester it’s Lincoln and Mt Zion followed by Rochester and Mahomet.
In 4a next week O’Fallon will host Alton with the winner playing the winner of Normal Community and East Moline United.
