A 38-year-old Junction City man has been sentenced to three years in prison for a December 2021 burglary to a maintenance shed at Salem Community High School.

Slade Thompson, who formerly resided in Salem, stole some items from the building that were later recovered.

As part of the plea, a burglary charge to the CSX terminal in the 600 block of South Broadway in Salem was dismissed.

The prison time will run concurrently with a four year prison term handed down in Clinton County Court.  Thompson received four years apiece in connection with two burglaries and received a three year prison term also to run concurrently on a criminal damage to state supported property charge.  A theft charge and misdemeanor criminal damage to property charge were dropped as part of that plea entered in July.
