Winifred E. Huff, 91, of Salem, Illinois passed away at her son’s home in Carmel, Indiana, on September 13, 2022.
Services for Winifred will be at 1:00 pm Saturday in the chapel of Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, 310 N. Broadway, P.O. Box 97, Salem, IL 62881, (618) 548-1234, entrusted with the family’s care. Pastor Don Wallace will officiate. Visiting hours will be from 11:00 am until the service hour with burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. Born September 24, 1930, in Iuka, IL, she was the daughter of Floyd H. and Lillie E. (Bryant) Rogers.
She was a faithful member of Freedom Church in Salem and loved attending services there. She retired as a driver for Beck Bus Transportation with 35-plus years of faithful service. Winifred was really looking forward to her 92 birthday on September 24.
Winifred united in marriage with Robert D. Huff, on November 11, 1950, in Salem and he preceded her in death, on July 22, 2005.
Survivors include her children, Terry Huff and wife Tina of Carmel, IN and Linda Henry of Salem, IL. Also grandchildren Ross Henry and wife Kendra of Walnut Hill, IL, Robin Henry of St. Peters, MO. Christopher Huff and friend Melissa, Jordan Huff and wife Katie, and Elizabeth Foster all of Indiana, and great-grandchildren Trevas, Riece, Grace, Sophie, Aurora, Emma, and Ben.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Huff in 1958, son-in-law Earl Henry in 1992, and siblings Ervin E. Rogers, Warren Rogers, Ralph Rogers Erma Norris, Alieta Meyer, Marnia Slater, Thelma Crane, Opal Osborn along with three younger siblings who died early in life.
