The Marion County Sheriff’s Department arrested all three occupants of a vehicle on felony drug charges following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Bennett Street in Salem.
The driver, 30-year-old Jeremy Lippert of South Franklin in Salem, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license. Passenger, 38-year-old Lloyd McMullin of North Everett in Odin, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The second passenger, 27-year-old Autum Respondek of West Lake in Salem, was arrested for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
All three were taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports the vehicle was originally stopped for traffic violations. A search took place after the Marion County canine alerted on the front door panel.
Deputies report finding a baggie containing a white substance hanging out of the center air vent. A backpack was allegedly found in the back seat that contained a number of drug items including more packages and a vial of what field tested as meth as well as cocaine and crack cocaine. A total of 16.8 grams of controlled substances were allegedly recovered.
The traffic stop occurred at 8:23 Saturday night.
