A 20-year-old Centralia woman has pleaded guilty in Marion County Court to a reduced misdemeanor charge of criminal damage to property after allegedly causing a traffic crash.
Sarah Mays of West McCord Street is accused of grabbing the steering wheel of a car and tugging on it to cause a crash.
Mays was placed on two years probation, ordered to undergo drug counseling, follow any recommended treatment, and be subjected to random testing.
Mays originally had been charged with felony criminal damage to property for causing between $500 and $10,000 damage but entered into a negotiated plea for causing less than $500 damage.
The crash occurred on April 16th, 2021.
