Salem Police arrested a 39-year-old Salem man for possession of methamphetamine after he allegedly dropped a baggie of what field tested as the drug on the floor of a Salem business on Wednesday. With the help of video surveillance, Michael Talley of West Warmouth was identified as the person who dropped the baggie. He was taken into custody when police saw him riding a bicycle near the Warmouth and Ohio Street intersection Wednesday afternoon.
Centralia Police arrested 40-year-old Joshua Reid of Odin Road in Odin for possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, possession of cannabis and obstructing justice. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
Centralia Police arrested 56-year-old Robbie Dabney of Howard Street in Centralia for criminal trespass to a residence.
31-year-old Timothy Bryan of South Cherry in Centralia was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail by Centralia Police on two counts of aggravated domestic battery.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reported US 51 was blocked to all travel early Thursday morning after a tree fell across the highway north of Fairman Road between Sandoval and Patoka. The road reopened after Illinois Department of Transportation crews were called out to remove the tree.
