Karen Rosetta Ray, 52, of Sandoval passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022, at her home. Karen was a loving, outgoing lady who always had a smile for everyone. She was grateful to be a homemaker and care for her home and her family. She had an amazing green thumb, growing beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. Karen was creative by nature, enjoying crafts and making fairy gardens. She loved to cook and try out new recipes for her family to enjoy. Holidays were her favorite times to gather the family together to celebrate and make memories. Karen loved a white winter and the magic of the gentleness of the falling snow. She was the best grandmother to her grandchildren, showering them with love and attention. Karen was a friend to all, a great support to her family and will be deeply missed.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with Chaplain Joannie Naraghi officiating. Interment will follow at Sandoval Cemetery. Friends and relatives are welcome to a visitation time from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home in Sandoval. Memorials may be made in Karen’s honor to the Day Macz Funeral Home to assist the family with services. She married William Ray in 1993 in Breese and he survives in Sandoval. Along with her devoted husband survivors include her beloved family, her mother Carol Rist; children Leanna Ray of Sandoval, and Brooklyn Ray of Sandoval; grandchildren Annabelle White, Nelson White, and Delilah White; brother James (Sheila) Howard of Sandoval; special aunt Loretta Davis; and nephews Daniel Howard, and Michael Howard.

She was born on September 9, 1969, the daughter of James Sr. and Carol (Davis) Howard in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Karen was preceded in death by her father James Howard; sister Tonya Howard; and brother Daniel Richard Howard.
