Country star and Patoka native Drew Baldridge is returning home on October 1st to host a music concert in downtown Patoka.
Baldridge says the open area next to Patoka Village Hall to near the bank will be fenced in for the festivities.
“I’ve had this idea for a long time of doing my own music festival in my home town. I felt like this year was finally the timing for it. Over the last year, I’ve been doing the Baldridge bonfire tour where during the COVID shutdown I did about 200 shows in people’s backyards, people’s farms, and people’s fields. I thought to myself, ‘why don’t I just put on my own music festival in our hometown and call it the big, THE BIG Baldridge bonfire. For the last couple of months, I’ve been putting it together.”
Baldridge says country star Craig Campbell, Dylan Wolfe, Murphy 500, and Katie Hatch will be there as well.
“We’re going to have the fire departments from all the area will be selling food and give back and hopefully raise some money for our fire departments. We’re also doing a dollar from every ticket goes to a local charity.”
Baldridge says he’ll be performing his current single ‘Little Bit’ which had its music video shot in Patoka and will be previewing other songs from his forthcoming full-length project.
Baldridge notes this will not only be the first large concert in Patoka, but it will also be the first large event where beer will be sold in the village that was dry until a few years ago.
Tickets are $30 and are available beginning today at https://Baldridge2022.eventbrite.com
