Brenda E. Wheeler age 71 of Evansville, IN passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Brenda was born on October 13, 1950, in Centralia, IL. A daughter to Joseph Richard and Alliene (Allen) Pettersson. She was married to Dennis Wheeler for 44 years and he survives in Evansville, IN.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 sons: Jeff Stein of Centralia, IL; Matt Stein and wife Britt of Champaign IL; and Mark Wheeler of Evansville, IN: 3 grandchildren, Brooke King, Andrew Stein, and Vincent Stein; one sister Pamela Haake of Hoffman, IL, sister-in-law Pat Pettersson of Salem, IL; and sister-in-law Sharon Harris of Centralia, IL; several nieces and nephews.
She was processed in death by her parents; brother Virgil Harris; brother Richard Pettersson, stepbrother Jimmy Foltz; step-brother Charles Foltz, and nephew Greg Haake.
Brenda was a graduate of Trinity Lutheran School in Hoffman, as well as a graduate of Carlyle High School. After school, she worked several jobs before settling at the Whirlpool Corporation in Evansville, IN. While there she attended The Hills Church.
Brenda enjoyed time reading, gardening, and spending time with her friends, family, and dog Izzy. But Brenda’s most cherished moments were moments spent with the ones she loved.
A Graveside Service for Brenda Wheeler will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia with Pastor Miguel Torniere officiating.
