Janet Elaine Kesterson, age 69, of Salem, Illinois, formerly of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away at 5:24 P.M. on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Salem Township Hospital in Salem, Illinois.
She was born on November 3, 1952, in Salem, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond D. and Bertie Lou (Donoho) Taylor. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister to three brothers. Janet grew up in Centralia, Illinois, and attended Centralia schools.
Janet is survived by her loving family, daughters, Kristy (Kesterson) Fox and fiancé Kirk Cange, Kari Kesterson and fiancé Tyler Brown of Mulberry Grove, Illinois, and Keeley Kesterson of Warden, Illinois; granddaughters, Dominique Kesterson, Emma Brown, and Charlotte Kesterson; brothers, Larry B. Taylor and wife Linda of Centralia, Illinois, Michael L Taylor and wife Debbie of Centralia, Illinois, and Drake K. Taylor and wife Sonny of Salem, Illinois; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Janet was preceded by her parents, Raymond Taylor and Bertie Lou Taylor, and twin brother, Randall Taylor.
Janet grew up attending the Free Methodist Church in Centralia, Illinois. She enjoyed swimming and watching television. Janet was a lifelong stay-at-home mother, who loved being with her children and grandchildren. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
A Memorial Service for Ms. Janet Elaine Kesterson will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois, with Pastor Jeremy Martin of Foundation Church officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of her services at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
