Connie J. Marshall, 68, of Centralia passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at Mt. Vernon Healthcare.
She was born on November 5, 1953, the daughter of Dennis Lyle “Sonny” and Doris Arteane (Collier) Lynn in Moline, Illinois. She married Wayne Marshall on December 22, 1972, in Rock Island and he survives in Centralia.
Along with her devoted husband of 49 years, Connie is survived by her beloved family, her mother Doris Lynn of Moline; children Kalyn (Carey) Wolfe of Centralia, Brett Marshall of Richmond Heights, Missouri, Bradley (Michele) Marshall of Coal Valley; grandchildren Chloe, Marshall and Nolan Wolfe of Centralia, Haley, Jordan and Isabella Marshall of Coal Valley; sister Karen (Paul) Laethem of Moline; brother Richard (Chris) Lynn of Lake Warren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her father Dennis “Sonny” Lynn.
Connie retired from IDES to care for her grandchildren. She worked several years for Black Hawk College and in the insurance and banking fields. Connie enjoyed quilting with her C-Town quilters, attending her grandchildren’s extra-curricular event, and volunteering to help whoever needed help, especially the Big D Relay For Life Team. She was faithful to her family and her friends who became family. Connie will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Friends and relatives are welcome to a time to offer condolences to the family from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
