Charles P. Skibbens, 93, of Iuka, IL passed away July 5, 2022 at Salem Township Hospital. He was a retired teacher in the Chicago Metro area. He faithfully served in the U. S. Army during W.W. II.
Mr. Skibbens had prearranged a donation for medical study at SIU-Carbondale School of Medicine. There will be no public visitation, service or burial. Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 97, 310 N. Broadway, Salem, IL 62881 (618) 548-1234 is entrusted with the family’s care.
Surviving are 5 children, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was married to Phyllis T. Wasik, June 9, 1951 in Chicago, IL and she preceded in death in 2009. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister.
