Sarah Elizabeth Karrick, 79, of Odin, Illinois, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at her home.
Sarah was born on March 23, 1947, in Odin, Illinois, the daughter of Bennett Charlton and Virginia (Tadlock) Charlton.
On November 30, 1973, Sarah married Kenneth Karrick Sr. Together, they shared many years of marriage before his passing.
Throughout her life, Sarah devoted much of her time to caring for her home and family. She also worked at Casey’s and at Odin Care Center before retiring.
Sarah is survived by her six children, Kenneth Karrick Jr. and wife Amanda of Mt. Vernon, Tina McLarty and husband Edwin of Litchfield, Marsha Pauley and Robert of Odin, Charles Karrick of Lovettsville, Virginia, Raymond Karrick and wife Kaylee of Kinmundy, and Emily Karrick and husband Brian Slafter of Centralia.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Emily and Chad, Charles, Justin, Blade and Savannah, Ashley, Heavanah, Brennan, Melody, Owen, Alissa and Travis, Sarah, Hudson, and Breeanna; a grandchild of the heart, Jacey; and her great-grandchildren, Carter, Ophelia, Able, Renesmae, Wyatt, and Joseph.
Sarah is further survived by her siblings, Virginia Adams of Salem, Sally Green of Salem, Tom Charlton of Junction City, George Charlton of Alabama, and Bob Charlton of Junction City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Karrick Sr., and her parents; brother, John Charlton; and sister, Lois Beard
