Richard Benjamin Jones, Sr., died August 22nd, 2026. Born March 28, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to Benjamin Jones and Marie Robbison Jones; beloved husband for 40 years of Judy Jones (Deceased) and previously to Marjorie Jones (Deceased); devoted father of Richard B. Jones, Jr., David C. Jones, and Steven W. Jones (Mimi), grandfather of Dustin White, Justin White, Wiley Jones (Leighy) and Matthew Jones; great grandfather of Harper Jones.
Dick was raised in St. Louis, MO; received his printing apprenticeship; served in the U.S. Air Force; worked in the printing lithography trade for 38 years. He was involved in the Zion Baptist Church in various leadership positions.
Dick enjoyed fishing, wildlife photography, and spending time with his children and grandchildren, and spent many hours fly fishing at Bennett Spring in Missouri. He will be lovingly remembered as a gentleman of honesty, integrity, compassion, faith, and an optimist who always found joy and blessings in life. He was universally respected and loved.
A private family funeral will be held at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Centralia, IL.
Burial will be immediately following the service at Zion Hill Baptist Cemetery.
