Janet Carolene Miller Declue, age 80, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on August 21, 2026, at Randolph County Nursing Home. She was born on June 30, 1946, in Breese, Illinois, to Tom Miller and Beulah May Smith Miller. She was a Christian.
She enjoyed going on car rides, going out to eat, and listening to old country music. She loved her family; her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. They made her laugh, and she was always so protective of them. She never met a stranger, and to know her was to love her. She loved her nursing home family, and they all loved her.
Survivors include; five sons: Earl Higgins of Pocahontas, Arkansas, David Higgins of Dewitt, Arkansas, Roy Higgins of Ramsey, Illinois, Gary Higgins of Centralia, Illinois, Jason Declue of Centralia, Illinois; two daughters: Marie Taylor of Shobonier, Illinois and Kimberly Clark of Pocahontas, Arkansas; one stepdaughter: Debbie Declue of St. Louis, Missouri; several brothers and sisters, grandchildren, great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by: Tom Miller and Beulah May Smith Miller; and one son: Donnie Declue “Speedie.”
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia.
