The Franklin Park Junior High Bobcat Cheerleaders received a tremendous show of community support over the weekend during a fundraising car wash at the Salem Elks.
The cheerleaders spent the day washing vehicles while raising money for their program, and judging by the smiles in the photos, the community responded in a big way.
Following the event, the team shared its appreciation on social media, saying, “We had a great turnout! Thanks to the Salem Elks for hosting us, our amazing community, and the support of our friends and family.”
Fundraisers like these are made possible by volunteers and generous supporters, and Saturday’s turnout was another example of the Salem community rallying behind its young athletes. From the Salem Elks providing a location to area residents stopping by to have their vehicles washed, it was a successful day that showcased the hometown spirit that continues to support local youth programs.
