Ryan Kenneth “Pup” Satterlee, age 44, of Salem, Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026.
Ryan was born on July 4, 1981, in Decatur, Illinois, to Mark Satterlee and Becky (Tirey) Gilmore.
He worked as a concrete finisher, dedicating himself to his trade and taking pride in his work. Ryan was self-employed for much of his career and also worked for Kenny Laird. Known as a hardworking and dependable man, Ryan enjoyed staying busy and was a talented handyman. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a love for ice cream.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Becky Gilmore of Salem; his father, Mark Satterlee and wife Kathy of Taylorville; sisters, Allison Kuhns and husband Chad of Salem, Brooke Rosenthal and husband Dustin of Morrisonville, Breann Christer and significant other Jessie of Taylorville, and Ashley Satterlee of Salem; brother, Jacob Satterlee and wife Lindsey of Taylorville; grandfather, Wilbur Justice of Decatur; nieces and nephews, Kaleb Ratts, Jordan Kuhns and significant other Oddyssie, Cameron Kuhns, Alexis Christer, Camden Stubbs, Gavin Rosenthal, Harper Rosenthal, Landon Mashburn, Lane Satterlee, Mason Satterlee, and Oaklee Satterlee; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
