The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 36-year-old Woodlawn man has been arrested for alleged possession of child pornography.
The sheriff’s office received a criminal complaint regarding allegations of child pornography on January 8th, at about 11:55 am. Sheriff’s Office Detectives were notified and continued the investigation, resulting in the arrest of Marcus W. Leyva of Woodlawn for possession of child pornography.
Leyva was transported to the Jefferson County Jail to await his pretrial detention hearing. He is considered innocent until proven guilty. The investigation is ongoing, and additional criminal charges could be filed.
