A 20-year-old Salem woman has been formally charged in Marion County Court with aggravated battery and domestic battery following an incident on a Centralia city street on Tuesday.
Kjay Bumgarner of South Pearl is accused of kicking a man about his body while on North Chestnut Street near West Broadway. The misdemeanor domestic battery charge adds that Bumgarner and the alleged victim are family members.
Bumgarner had the public defender appointed to represent her. A preliminary hearing and first appearance with counsel is set for February third.
