The IHSFCA All-State Football Teams have been announced.
On the 4a team was Breese Central’s Cole Davis, Donald Collier of Cahokia, Gavyn Cothern of Olney, Jacob Harvey of Mt Zion, Andrew Johnson of Carterville, and Waterloo’s Derez Sayles.
Centralia’s Archie Goewey was Honorable Mention along with Breese Central’s Bryce Wieter, JC Anderson of Mt Zion, Malik Mazyon of Cahokia, Jonathan Miller of Carterville, Owen Niebrugge of Waterloo, and Casey Thomann of Olney.
On the 5a team was Mascoutah’s Jordan Beck. Honorable Mention went to Mt Vernon kicker Truman Carnine, Dawson Deatherage of Triad, Marino’s Callahan Roper, and Junious Thomas, as well as Carbondale quarterback Davin Wooley.
