The Franklin Park Bobcats JV and Varsity competed at the Marion Tip Off Classic on Saturday.
The Varsity opened with a 42-35 loss to Murphysboro. Ben Lux led the Bobcats with 13 and Kaiden Washington added 8.
Salem then won their consolation semifinal over West Frankfort 41-29. Lux again led Salem with 16 and Emit Gibson added 8.
Salem fell in the Consolation Championship to Cairo 51-33. Tanner Purintun had 15 in the loss.

The JV opened with a 48-17 loss to Murphysboro. EJ Wolfe and Caleb Dice had 5 each for the Cats.
Salem then lost to Hamilton County 38-32. Wolfe had 14 and Nolan Krutsinger had 8.
The Cats then nipped Cairo in the 7th place game 46-45. Lewis Eddy finished with 12, Wolfe added 10 and Brody Brubaker had 8.
Ben Lux was the “Dawg” and Tanner Purintun was the “Ballin Bobcat.”
