A float built by Hometown Collision was selected by Grand Marshal John Boles as the top float winner of the 54th Annual Little Egypt Festival Parade.  Hometown Collision used the Candy Land game as its theme with floats built around several board game themes.

Mayor Nic Farley selected Marion County Savings Bank for his award.  It featured the game LIFE.

Marion County Savings Bank’s entry in the Game of Life won the Mayor’s trophy.

North American Lighting took first place in the large business category and Wabash Communications second.

In the small business category, an elaborate float from Balloons by Design was first.  Auctioneer and Real Estate Agent Mike Hammond was second.

In the civic category, the Masonic Lodge was first, and the Illinois Patriot Guard second.

In the church competition, Pleasant Grove was first and Calvary Baptist Church second.

Malaysia’s World took first place among dance groups, and Franklin Park Middle School was second. In the school division, the Salem football entry was first, and Trinity Lutheran School was second.

Kell’s Angels took first, and ATVs and More was second in the side-by-side competition. Salem Soccer took first in the organization division, followed by the Girl’s Scouts.

David Shaw, with his 1929 Pontiac, won the Richard Pollard Trophy.

Lucky Go Taxi was first, and Odin Health Care was Second in the other category.

Iuka was first in the junior high division in the band competition, and Centralia Junior High was second.  Sandoval took first in the junior-senior high band division.  Centralia Junior High won the best drum line, and Iuka won the best auxiliary.  Salem Community High School and Franklin Park were the host bands and were not judged.

Those who won trophies can pick them up beginning Monday at the studios of WJBD radio, 310 West McMackin, in Salem.
