Salem won the highly competitive Carlyle Golf Tournament at Governor’s Run on Saturday by one stroke over Red Bud. Salem was led by overall champion junior Landen Maxey who shot a career low 5-under 67 to win the individual title by 9 strokes. The team posted a score of 312. Beau Chapman of Sandoval and Sawyer Wilkerson of Benton had identical scores of 78 to finish tied for 2nd.
Centralia finished 5th with a 334, Sandoval shot 373 for 10th. The Wildcats and Lady Cats will host powerhouse St Anthony this afternoon to the country club.
