The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats won the Class L SIJHSAA State Tournament beating Herrin at Rend Lake College 43-20. Salem trailed 19-18 at the half, but then dominated the second half outscoring the Lady Tigers 25-1. Kenna Benjamin led the Lady Bobcats with 17 points. Braelyn Knaak was great inside scoring 10 points and Lexie Malan scored 8. Franklin Park wins the only their 2nd girls state basketball title ever and finish the year 24-4.
In the 3rd place game, Harrisburg fell to Mt Carmel in overtime 47-44.
In Class S, New Hope beat Bartelso for the state title 50-46. New Simpson Hill took 3rd place beating St Rose 47-38.
