Two Mt. Vernon residents charged in connection with a November home invasion in Centralia have pleaded guilty to lesser charges, while the case continues against a third defendant.

The three were all arrested at the scene of the home invasion in the 400 block of Bicknell Street.  Two people were inside the home when the door was kicked in.  A female resident reportedly stabbed one of the three breaking in and was later hit in the head herself with a bat.

21-year-old Leshannan Derixson of 15th Street entered a guilty plea to aggravated battery with use of a deadly weapon and criminal trespass to an occupied residence.  Charges of home invasion, another count of aggravated battery, mob action, misdemeanor battery, and criminal damage to property under $500 were dropped as part of the plea.  A presentence investigation was ordered with Leshannan to be sentenced on April 10th at one pm.

21-year-old Lee Derixson, of the same 15th Street address, pleaded guilty to criminal trespass to an occupied residence.   He was sentenced to two years probation, drug and alcohol evaluation, and recommended treatment, 180 days in jail with credit for time served, ordered to have no contact with victims, as well as pay a $600 probationary fee and $200 public defender fee.

Meanwhile, charges are still pending against the third person arrested, 21-year-old Eric Nabors of College Street.  He is set for a pre-trial hearing on February 26th for home invasion, criminal trespass with a person present, mob action, two counts of misdemeanor battery, and one count of criminal damage to property under $500.

Centralia Police at the time said two of the three along with one of their mothers used to live in the home and the altercation was the result of an argument over picking up property left at the home.  Lee Derixson was allegedly cut with the knife held by one of the residents but declined hospital treatment.   The female victim was taken to the hospital after Leshannan Derixson reportedly hit her in the head with a bat.
