Survivors include her beloved family, her children, Denisha Bailey of Centralia, Dustin (Nicole) Sanders of Nashville, Drew Sanders of Centralia, and Dessa Sanders (Willie Jelks) of Centralia; her precious grandchildren, Emmalee, James “JJ”, Kynsleigh, Alexis (Robby), Caleb, Zach, Preston, and Kira; cherished great-grandchildren, Love’lynn, Honey, and Kingston; her dear brothers, Danny Dagg (Elaine Deadmond) of Salem, and Leon (Kathy) Dagg of centralia; and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dana was preceded in death by her parents, Delano and Nadine Dagg; and her infant brother, Kenneth Allen Dagg.
Dana attended Sandoval High School and worked as a CNA for Brookside Manor, where she was grateful to provide a friendly smile and compassionate care. Her love for the profession of nursing led her to advance to an LPN after her studies in college. Dana then worked as an LPN for Doctor’s Nursing Home, where she was every resident’s favorite nurse. She will be remembered for the excellent meals she prepared for friends and family, with her love of cooking never letting anyone leave her home hungry. Dana was a great singer and never missed a chance to perform Karaoke. Dana was the very best Mom and “Memaw”, showing her children and grandchildren true unconditional love and support. Everyone knew who her kids and grandkids were because Dana was always sending 100s of pictures, as she was so very proud of each of them. She liked to have lengthy conversations and could talk with anyone. Dana was even known to sometimes fall asleep while talking on the phone. As a natural caregiver, Dana was proud of her gift of serving others in their time of need. To think of Dana is to remember her family as they were her pride and joy and sunshine of her life.
