A 19-year-old Mt. Vernon woman has been sentenced to seven days in the Marion County Jail for contempt of court after allegedly becoming unruly during a court hearing.

Hailey Henson of Lewis Springs Road was a spectator in a Marion County Courtroom when she became upset with how Judge Mark Stedelin was handling a case she was watching.

Henson allegedly interrupted the court hearing, eventually standing up and cursing as she headed towards the door.   She allegedly refused to stop for the judge and slammed into a locked court door, damaging it.  Henson then reportedly struggled with security officers.

A status hearing on the case has been set for ten Thursday morning.
