Centralia Police have arrested three Mt. Vernon residents for a Tuesday morning home invasion at a home in the 400 block of Bicknell Street that resulted in one hospitalization.
The three in custody are identified as 21-year-old Leshanna Derixson and 21-year-old Lee Derixson both of 15th Street and 21-year-old Eric Nabors of College Street. All three are charged with home invasion, mob action, and criminal damage to property. In addition, Leshanna Derixson is charged with three counts of aggravated battery. She is accused of hitting one of the two residents in the home with a bat in the head. The victim was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. In addition, Nabors with arrested for one count of aggravated battery and Lee Derixson with one count of misdemeanor battery.
Centralia Police say the three allegedly kicked in the door to the home when coming to pick up items left behind when two of the three along with one of their mother’s had moved out earlier. While most of the items were left on the porch, the mother’s dog was apparently inside the house leading to the altercation.
The same alleged victim who was hit with the bat had earlier allegedly cut Lee Derixson with a knife. He did not require hospital treatment.
The incident was reported to police at 9:01 Tuesday morning.
