The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats lost at the buzzer in Olney last night 24-23. Kenna Benjamin led Salem with 9. Salem won the JV game 35-17. Benjamin had 14 and Kinsley Gansauer added 7.
Central City lost their opener at the Rome Tournament to New Horizon 45-24. Alli Bierman led the Citians with 11, Aubrey Cullip added 5. They continue tournament play tonight against Wayne City.
Also in girls hoops, Aviston beat Albers 32-23, Herrin over Carterville 37-15, Nashville beat DuQuoin 54-15, Okawville 56-10 over Carlyle, Olney St Joe beat Cisne 35-12 and Waltonville over Spring Garden 49-29.
